New Dodge Challenger with Hellcat Engine Spotted Testing

When it comes to American muscle cars, it is hard to do better than the legendary Dodge Challenger. This vehicle is like a professional athlete that spends all day at the gym training and staying in shape for incredible sprints and insane performance. Now all those drivers who thought it couldn't get better than the HEMI V8 drivetrain option are about to have their minds blown by the new Chrysler Hellcat engine.

This new engine is slated to be the third option for drivers looking to purchase a Challenger when the next-generation models begin to roll off the assembly lines. A prototype model was even caught testing last week somewhere in the American Southwest, and here at Sands Chrysler Jeep Dodge, we really liked what we saw.

The Hellcat is a supercharged 6.4-liter V8 engine that can easily generate up to 570 horsepower. Industry officials are predicting that when this new Hellcat equipped challenger finally enters the market it will be able to achieve nearly 600 horsepower.

This new model also sported some large air intakes in the front and as well as adjustments to the hood and front fascia. Honestly, we can't wait to see what comes next.
